Research Experience / Interest:
My master’s research involved caffeine and hydration status.
Current research interest includes weight management on college campuses.

First Job:
Coat check person and banquet wait staff at a hotel in my hometown.

Favorite Meal or Snack:
Any dish with a red sauce and spice.

Favorite Leisure Time Activity:
Spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy hiking, yoga and pilates.

Best Vacation Spot:
Hawaii

Best Tip for Students:
Try to be mindful of your body’s needs such as rest when you are tired, eat when you are physically vs. emotionally hungry and be physically active daily.

I enjoy playing ultimate Frisbee, hiking/camping, and running. I also love to read Harry Potter whenever I get the chance to relax.

Research Experience / Interest:
Currently a Research Assistant at the UConn Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention and Policy (inCHIP) with the Human Fitness Research Lab (HFRL), as well as the Human Performance Lab (HPL).

Main research focuses: Changes in blood pressure and cognitive function with acute and chronic exercise; Genes and genetic factors influencing blood pressure response to exercise, Alzheimer’s Disease and Vascular Dementia; Treatment and attenuation of myalgia symptoms in hypercholesterolemic patients on Statin therapies; and the Commonalities seen in individuals suffering from Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism.

Going for a run, lifting weights, playing recreational sports, or reading a book
