Fat Talk Free Week

Each October, UConn S.H.A.P.E. participates in “Fat Talk Free Week”, a national movement created to end “Fat Talk” on college campuses. UConn S.H.A.P.E hosts an annual Catwalk to End Fat Talk, a fashion show that gives students the opportunity to walk the runway. The show is open to students of all races, ethnicities, identities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds, to display the diversity of beauty. UConn S.H.A.P.E encourages the student models to wear the outfits they feel the most comfortable and confident in. Along with the Catwalk to End Fat Talk, UConn S.H.A.P.E. celebrates Love Your Body Day and provides body positive activities on campus throughout the week.
